Puppy Kindegarten / Socialization

This class is recommended for puppies between the ages of 9 weeks old to 4 months old. If you have a larger breed we recommend you start by 9-10 weeks old, and usually no later than 4 months old. Smaller breeds are often more comfortable starting classes between 3-6 months of age.
Puppy class concentrates on basic manners skills, and also encourages socialization with the other puppies and class members, as well as children. Puppies get to enjoy free off lead playtime with the other puppies in class. An obstacle course is set up one evening to build confidence as well as fun, fun, fun! We are here to answer your training questions as your puppy developes into a young adult.
All puppies registering for TNT Training classes need to have had one set of distemper and parvo vaccine before attending classes. TNT also accepts positive results of titre testing in lieu of proof of vaccination.

TNT Training teaches using positive reinforcement and motivational methods. To help your dog understand what we are trying to teach them, we use food rewards. This method of teaching is proven to accelerate the learning process for dogs. The alternative to positive training, is to use compulsion and adversive methods and this type of training is not only old-fashioned and highly outdated, but also produces dogs that work out of fear and not because they “want” to. At TNT we want both yourselves AND your dogs to enjoy the learning and training process.
