This seminar is well suited to those competing in obedience, schutzhund, agility, flyball, and any other sport which values intensity, endurance and focus in a competitive environment.
Seminar format:
The first day of the seminar will examine canine “Drives and Motivators” in depth. Focusing on food, prey, hunt, and pack drives, participants will gain an understanding of their dogs’ behavior and drives, and how to use this information to more effectively play with and motivate their canine companion.
The second day is specifically designed to look at “problem solving in obedience”. Lecture will focus on analyzing obedience performance problems. Working time will be spent individually with each participant, analyzing their problem as a group and applying appropriate solutions, one on one. Participants should state the specific skills they wish to work on, or problem to be addressed. Working spots will be selected to maximize a range of problem areas from Novice thru Utility. Denise does not use physical corrections.
Private Lessons:
Denise will be giving Private lessons on August 27, 2012. This is an excellent way to work with Denise one on one with your dog. A 30 minute lesson is $60. Reserve early as spots are very limited.
